I like to describe Santa Barbara as having the cultural benefits of a big city in the size of a small town. It’s actually quite amazing to think of the wide variety of art, music, history and exhibitions that we have access to here. This city has three world-class museums as well as First Thursday Artwalk, where many of the local galleries open their doors to the public for free.
As a musician, being able to see such a variety of acts in town, from greats like Robert Plant, exotic visitors like the Flamenco Festival and classical from the Santa Barbara Symphony, is beyond compare. With the Santa Barbara Bowl’s summer season and the impressive lineup of music, performances and speakers at the Lobero Theatre, the Granada Theatre and UCSB’s Arts & Lectures program, we have the most exciting cultural offerings in California between Los Angeles and San Francisco—all on our own doorstep!
