Many tourists to Santa Barbara know about Montecito, and how it’s our city’s equivalent of Beverly Hills, but few know about Hope Ranch. It’s almost 2,000 acres on the coast and under the radar except to those in the know.
These are large estates, and many with horses or orchards, and the residents are equally as wealthy as those in Montecito, and perhaps more discrete. Much of the area is private: many roads, a golf course, bridle paths, the beach and the country club. With even a school in the Ranch, residents only have to leave the ranch for dining, shopping and other services.
