Typically very sunny neighborhoods San Roque and Samarkand lie between lower and upper State Street. Both tend to be very desirable family neighborhoods, with good schools within walking distance.
With a backdrop of the Santa Ynez mountains, San Roque also houses the Museum of Natural History and is close to many good restaurants and shops along State Street.
Samarkand is bordered by two parks and the golf course, and offers easy access to De La Vina Street’s selection of top restaurants, grocery stores and coffee houses.
Both of these neighborhoods are quiet, friendly and have a real sense of community. There is easy access to the freeway and State Street, and it’s only minutes to downtown Santa Barbara.
