The Westside

The Westside refers to the neighborhoods northeast of State Street, and south of where upper State Street begins. Typically considered the sunny side of town, it consists of mostly smaller Spanish and Craftsman style homes that are tucked up small streets that climb up the back of the Mesa to Elings Park.

There are restaurants, parks, shops and other services off of San Andreas Road and Micheltorena Street, and it’s very close to downtown, the Mesa, and the harbor.

There is also the West Beach neighborhood near the harbor, bordered by State Street, West La Marina Drive, Montecito Street and West Cabrillo Boulevard. It’s a desireable area with wonderful access to the beach, and homes in West Beach consist of California bungalows, classic Spanish style apartment buildings, and ocean front condos.
